    David Wright is the founding Head of School at Valor Classical Academy. Prior to joining Valor, Mr. Wright devoted his career to classical education. His work over the last 20 years includes teaching AP Literature, Great Books, and Humanities at both public and private schools, as well as developing and writing upper school classical curricula as the Literature Curriculum Developer for Memoria Press. Mr. Wright also served as the Founder and Director of The Climacus Conference where he was engaged as a speaker, held lectures, and hosted workshops for classical scholars. Throughout his career, Mr. Wright has spent each summer on the Bering Sea in Bristol Bay, Alaska operating his own commercial salmon fishing boat.

    As a published writer, Mr. Wright authored several feature articles for Memoria Press in The Classical Teacher, as well as for the CIRCE Institute and the SCL Journal. He took part in writing The Lost Tools of Writing, a classical rhetorical writing program for middle and high school students and he also authored a series of guides for teachers and students on the great novels.

    While his career markers are meaningful and important in preparing him to lead a classical school, Mr. Wright is most blessed by the love of family and his precious children.
