Careers

Thank you for your interest in career opportunities at Valor Classical Academy. We plan to open as a K-6 tuition-free school and add a grade each year until reaching grade 12.

The mission of Valor Classical Academy is to educate the minds of students to seek truth, beauty, and goodness as they pursue academic excellence through a rigorous, content-rich curriculum that develops moral character and civic virtue.

What is important in a Teacher of Valor?

IMPROVING CHARACTER

Valor Classical Academy seeks to improve the moral and intellectual character of its students by cultivating an atmosphere of virtue, decorum, respect, discipline, and studiousness among both students and faculty.

ORDERLY CLASSROOMS & EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

The leadership team at Valor, led by the Head of School, will mentor, support, guide, and train teachers to help them become excellent in their craft. A well-educated and articulate faculty will use traditional, teacher-led methods of instruction and commit to using technology effectively without diminishing the faculty leadership that is crucial to academic achievement.

MASTER OF CONTENT MATERIAL

A Valor teacher is responsible for mastering pedagogical methods and content material, including knowledge and practice in other subjects. Teachers will also implement Valor’s approach to instruction that acknowledges objective standards of correctness, logic, beauty, goodness, and truth.

FOSTERING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS

A Valor teacher should actively foster and support the school's vision, mission, and core virtues. The teacher should develop healthy and positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and school leaders. As well, the teacher should be committed to truth, goodness, and beauty when interacting with all members of the school community.

OPEN & WILLING TO LEARN & GROW

Valor teachers will join the effort to grow in virtue and intellect to enrich their own lives and contribute to a responsible and healthy school culture.
